The journeys below are samples. Each reflects a real itinerary we have designed and travelled, included to show how an EMC Golf trip comes together. We do not sell packages. Every journey is curated around the group taking it, shaped by how you play, the pace you prefer, and what you want from the hours between rounds. Two groups rarely end up with the same trip, and that is the point. Read these as a starting point. When one resonates, it becomes the opening of a conversation.
Mountain golf at its most spectacular. Four alpine courses beneath the peaks of Banff and Kananaskis, from the great Stanley Thompson layout at the Banff Springs to turquoise rivers and elk on the fairways. Five days, four nights, four rounds, with golf in the morning and mountains all day.
Three championship mountain courses, all walkable from the heart of Whistler Village. Thursday opens on Nicklaus North, between Green Lake and the River of Golden Dreams. Friday climbs Blackcomb at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Saturday runs north to Big Sky in Pemberton, beneath the face of Mount Currie. Home base is the Crystal Lodge, in the centre of the village.
A quick desert escape with two of the Coachella Valley's best, everything within twenty-five minutes. Day one heads straight to Pete Dye's infamous Stadium Course at PGA West, island greens and all the drama of the old Bob Hope finish. Day two plays La Quinta's Mountain Course, a second Pete Dye gem carved into the Santa Rosa foothills with holes pressed against the rock. Home base is La Quinta Resort, historic Spanish-style casitas and a dozen pools in the February sun.
Four days, three nights and three rounds on the wild coast of Cape Breton. Arrive for a twilight loop on the Nest, play Canada's only true links at Cabot Links, take on the clifftop masterpiece of Cabot Cliffs and its par three 16th hanging over the ocean, then close with a replay on your favourite of the two.
Four courses on Vancouver Island’s mild coast, based at downtown Victoria’s harbour-front Hotel Grand Pacific. Thursday: Highland Pacific above the harbour. Friday: Nicklaus-designed Valley Course at Bear Mountain through Douglas fir and granite. Saturday: Olympic View with waterfalls and Olympic Mountain views. Sunday: Cordova Bay edged by tall firs and the Salish Sea.
Scottsdale offers a different register of golf travel, a warm winter base with marquee desert courses routed close enough together to keep the driving sensible. It suits travelers who want serious golf by day and time for Old Town, the spa, or a Camelback hike by evening.
Golf in its purest form, six classic Fife links from a home base in St Andrews, bookended by Edinburgh and a Highland whisky day. A run into Perthshire opens the trip with tastings at Glenturret and Tulibardine, then it is one round a day: Elie, Carnoustie, the Castle Course, Dumbarnie, Leven and the Jubilee. The finale is an attempt at the Old Course by daily ballot, then a farewell dram at the Jigger Inn. This is the trip every golfer means to take.
A proper expedition down Spain's Mediterranean coast, fifteen days and seven championship courses with a lot of road between them. From the Costa Brava through Barcelona to the storied fairways of Andalusia, this is a trip for golfers who want the miles, the variety and the marquee names. Play the Stadium Course at PGA Catalunya, El Prat, El Saler and Las Colinas on the way south, capped by a bucket-list round at the legendary Valderrama in Sotogrande. Not for the faint of heart.
Four days, three nights based out of Predator Ridge, the Okanagan's premier stay and play resort. Open with a relaxed afternoon at the Vernon Golf and Country Club, shuttle south to Kelowna for the valley views of Tower Ranch, then close out on Predator Ridge's celebrated 36 holes. Two bedroom cottages steps from the first tee.
Three days of desert golf from a lakeside base on Osoyoos Lake, with a cross-border day at Gamble Sands. Friday opens on Osoyoos Golf Club's Desert Gold, firm and fast on the benchlands above town. Saturday crosses south to Gamble Sands for two rounds on QuickSands and Scarecrow. Sunday closes on NK'mip Canyon Desert. Home base is Walnut Beach Resort.
A quick run to one of the Pacific Northwest's best, three David McLay Kidd courses on a sandy bluff above the Columbia. Friday warms up on the 14-hole par 3 QuickSands. Saturday delivers the main event, the championship course of wind-swept fescue and vast tilting greens above the river. Sunday closes on Scarecrow, the resort's intimate and brilliant second course. Home base is Gamble Sands Lodge, walkable and built entirely around the game.
Two unhurried weeks on the Algarve, golf every other day and the days between left for the coast. Umbrella-pine fairways, clifftop greens and the warm light of southern Portugal, balanced by long lunches, marina evenings and time at the beach. Seven of the region's very best, from Monte Rei and Quinta do Lago to San Lorenzo, Vilamoura and clifftop Palmares, paced so the trip never feels like a grind. The Algarve at its varied best.
